I know it sounds weird and a little embarrassing to let people know that you are wearing your nipple color on your lips. But let’s be serious, as long as no one knows about it, this actually is a brilliant idea. Let’s think about it, your nipples normally are slightly lighter or darker than your skin tone, using that color will create an illusion to make people think that it looks more nature.

Some people may say this is a ridiculous way to choose a nude lipstick, but when you see a topless men or women, do you ever think that their nipple colors are weird? Not really. Everyone got their own nipple colors such as, strawberry pink, brownish purple, dark hazelnut, rosy red and more. We don’t really judge someone’s nipple color because it is ordinary and normal. So, when you apply your nipple shade on your lips, it is going to work well. At least for me.

This idea first revealed from a daytime show “The Doctor” by Dr. Travis Stork. There are mix review for this method. After the show aired, majority of the women did found out the nude lipstick that they are using now in fact close to their nipple color. At the same time, women with darker skin tone disagree with this idea. This is not practical for them. A user on Youtube commented on “The Doctors” video, which I quote “As a black woman. No. Just no.”

This method got its pros and cons. You can’t completely rely on your nipple color because our nipple color can change due to internal and external factors, such as heat and hormone. It is not consistent. In addition, some people nipple color just doesn’t suit their face. This can be a guideline to choose your nude lipstick but not a must.

Next time, if you know someone who got problem with nude lipstick, why don’t recommend this method to them? Who knows it might work.
